What can be more pleasant than a warm and joyful greeting by an old Slavic tradition? Ukrainian, Belarusian or Russian people dressed in national costumes will greet you at ETHNOMIR with bread and salt. In old-time Russia, welcoming guests with bread and salt means respect and hospitality, wishing of welfare and wealth.
- Excursion «A stove that feeds, heats and heals» (45 min)
Inside the Russian izba (log house) furnished with period pieces you will learn how a Russian stove functions and how it should be fuelled, how can you sleep on it and use as a bath; what household duties were at that time and what a Russian saying «to dance from the stove» means.
- Talisman Doll Masterclass (45 min)
Different dolls were made in different parts of ancient Russia, and not only as toys for children: the dolls were used to protect home, wealth, love and health. During this master class you will learn how to make a traditional Slavic talisman doll using patches or bast.
- Fixed lunch with ethnic dishes at Trapeznaya Café

Each season of the year is marked with its own holiday! The early spring celebrates Maslenitsa, summer welcomes Ivan Kupala Day, and winter is all about Christmas. Each holiday has its own traditions. You will dance the Khorovod, a folk dance done in a circle, sing traditional songs, play and participate in different competitions – it will be a funny, unusual and interesting experience!
- Fixed dinner with ethnic dishes at Trapeznaya Café.

Each nation has its own traditional bread recipes. In Russia bread has always been treated as a living being: «bread, the family supporter»,«father bread», «bread is the head of everything». You will shape a beautiful round loaf named Korovai, a symbol of the Sun, while our mistress will bake it in the Russian stove! Make your own Korovai and enjoy its delicious taste!
